More details to follow but we will be no doubt be visiting venues with which we have had a long association.
Burns meets Gow
Following the historic 'Twa Fiddles' show at the Gaiety Theatre Ayr on 23rd January 2019 when Niel Gow's fiddle and the 'Gregg' violin linked to Robert Burns were brought together for a very special evening of music, it was an honour to perform the show at the Scottish Parliament on 11th September. Special thank to deputy first minister John Swinney for sponsoring the event. It was a pleasure to work again with Pete Clark to perform a programme of 18th century fiddle music associated with the two gentlemen. Burns met Gow in the village of Inver during his highland tour of 1787 and subsequently in Dumfries. They exchanged letters as well as music.
